Yanga coach Sead Ramovic has insisted that the match against TP Mazembe to be played on Saturday, January 4, will decide the team’s future in the CAF Champions League. Ramovic has urged Yanga fans to fill the stadium in large numbers to give their team the strength to win.

In the return match, Yanga needs a must-win to maintain their hopes of qualifying for the quarter-finals of the tournament. The first match between the teams ended in a 1-1 draw in Lubumbashi, which makes Saturday’s match especially important for both teams.

“The fate of qualification is in our hands. We know the game will not be easy because TP Mazembe also needs a win. But being at home and with our fans behind us, we have a good chance to fight and win,” said Ramovic.

Yanga, who are in last place in Group A with only one point after three matches, need a win against TP Mazembe to reach four points and put themselves in a position to fight for a place in the qualification. Al Hilal lead the group with nine points, followed by MC Alger with four points, while Mazembe have two points.

Ramovic added that his team is making detailed preparations to ensure they fight tactically and achieve victory in this important match.

“We have studied our opponents and we continue to improve some areas in training. TP Mazembe is an experienced team, but we are ready for the challenge,” said the coach.

If Yanga wins the match, it will have gained a chance to continue fighting for qualification by winning the last two matches against MC Alger and Al Hilal.

Yanga fans have been asked to come out in large numbers to give the players motivation to emerge victorious in this historic match.
